Don S. Davis, who did a great job playing tough-but-fair General Hammond in Stargate SG-1 - as well as many other telly roles - has died. Obituary on the GateWorld fansite.
Joss Whedon's new show Dollhouse will be ten minutes longer than the usual.
Chris Moyles to get a TV show. Words can't express how little I'm looking forward to that one.
The Star Trek Experience attraction in Las Vegas is closing. I am sad, because secretly I always wanted to go there.

I love how that Dollhouse-50-minutes news is brought as.. well, news. Silly Americans.. ;)
What are your thoughts on Dollhouse? Could it be as good as Buffy? I haven't seen/read much about the series myself, but I'm slightly worried about Eliza Dushku being the lead. She was fine as Faith on Buffy but she isn't much of an actress, really and not lead-material, I think.
Let's hope I'm wrong and Joss Whedon is right - as the world should be.
It's hard to say ... my feelings about Joss Whedon are sort of that towards an ex whom you had a long, intense relationship - the happy memories of the many good years are tainted by the end when it all went wrong and you argued all the time and it ended up bitter. Plus I hated Firefly. I gave it a damn good go, I tried my hardest, but it really, really wasn't for me and thus his constant boosting of it were as annoying as the ex parading round their shiny new partner (metaphor breaking down a bit).
Despite the tedium of Tru Calling, I'm still hopeful that Eliza Dushku has talent with the right show. Her performance as Faith didn't come out of nowhere, surely? And the premise of Dollhouse sounds interesting. But ... I don't know. He's a part of my past, you know? You can't always go back. Sigh.
